Working with legendary “Popaganda” artist, Ron English, Ron and ToTT created a wheatpaste campaign that resulted in a provacative narrative on the images ubiquitous in contemporary culture. The images form a dialogue, and bring to light the unfortunate reality of the myth vs. truth dichotomy attached to these images. English coined the term POPaganda to describe his signature mash-up of high and low cultural touchstones, from superhero mythology to totems of art history. In this wheatpaste, Ron brings to light the effect on society that images and the mythological narratives behind these images has. The images created in this mural ask us to question the narrative behind the images of contemporary culture- what affect are they having on our society and our children?
